Prepara - innovative kitchen tools and gadgets
End-to-end design across a range of kitchen tools: user research, concept sketching, 3D modeling, rapid prototyping, and structural packaging. Small-team scope meant owning a product from the first sketch through the box it ships in.
Goal
Ran product and packaging design across several concurrent projects, including taco prep accessories and citrus reamers. Each ran on its own timeline, so the work meant moving between early concept on one project and production files on another in the same week. I also shot lifestyle photography and filmed product video for the company's YouTube channel.
Key Deliverables
Brought multiple SKUs to market with a consistent experience from the product in hand to the box on the shelf, plus the packaging design and instructional video that went with them. Handling both the product and its packaging meant the structural design was developed against the object itself rather than adapted to it later.
