A three-piece nesting funnel set — 4, 5, and 6 inch — with a removable silicone spout that handles both wet and dry ingredients. One set covers the range of jars and bottles a home kitchen actually has, and stores as a single stack.
Goal
Hands-on benchmarking surfaced two consistent failures in what was already on the market: restricted airflow that makes liquids bubble and splash back, and openings too narrow to pass solid food through. The set had to solve both — without turning into three unrelated tools or a set too bulky to keep in a drawer.
Outcome
Iterative sketching and physical mock-ups led to a removable silicone spout with integrated aeration holes that eliminates backflow, and wider openings that take solids without clogging. Making the spout removable also solved the cleaning problem, since a fixed narrow neck is the part of a funnel that never comes clean. All three sizes nest for storage. The set launched and is currently sold online and in retail.
