A cordless blender built to perform like a corded one — through solid ice and frozen fruit, anywhere. Battery power usually means accepting a weaker blend, and the goal here was to remove that compromise rather than design around it.
Goal
I carried the design from concept into mass production, running DFM reviews with engineering to keep manufacturing constraints from eroding the design intent. Cordless brought its own problems: the battery adds mass low in the body, so the proportions and grip had to absorb that weight without making the unit feel bottom-heavy in the hand. For CMF, I worked on-site at the factory on color approvals, first-article sample reviews, and process audits.
Outcome
A cordless blender that doesn't trade power for portability. Because DFM and factory execution were managed closely, the production unit holds the original design intent with no drift in CMF.
