KitchenAid Funnel Set
This KitchenAid Funnel Set includes 4, 5, and 6 inch funnels with a removable silicone spout. This essential set is perfect for pouring wet or dry ingredients into containers. Use funnels with the spout for small-mouthed bottles, and without the spout for large-mouthed jars. The spout features aeration holes that allow liquids to smoothly flow through. Funnels can rest in the opening of long-neck bottles, freeing hands for easy pouring. Funnels nest for simple storage.
Opening
Funnels can not only be used for liquid, but solid food as well. When testing with variety of solid ingredients, I’ve noticed that the opening of the funnel is another factor to consider for this project.
Product Research
Began to test with variety of contents on the funnels that are available on the market to find any critical issue. Below are the key points I found important for the project.
Airflow
When pouring contents into a bottle, I noticed the airflow was a critical issue with the funnel. If the funnel is pushed too much into the bottle, then it starts bubbling which can be irritating.
Variety of Food
Testing with variety of food was crucial to find any other opportunity. I wanted to see what’s the best way to pour certain food into a container/bottle.
Concept
After testing variety of funnels, I began to sketch different funnel ideas for each problem.
Prototype
After finalizing on a solid idea, I’ve decided to make a mock-up prototype to valid if the idea works.
